Refugees & Immigrants: 5 Interview Questions (Penner, 2013)

In my research of students learning English as Another Language or ESL, 5 interview questions were used.  They were:

1.  What first languages do you speak? read? write? think?

2.  What skills do you use to help you understand something new at school?

3.  What languages do your friends at school speak?

4.  Is it helpful to use first languages at school?

5.  Do you think first languages will help you learn English?
