Refugee Settlement and Literacy: 8 Themes

Based on the needs interviews and assessments, with refugee families, the following themes emerged.  Using these themes, 10 modules were created to support the settlement and literacy needs of refugee families:

-Settlement in Canada          -Identity
-Recreation & Leisure          -Schools in Canada
-Homework                           -Friendship and Connections in the Community
-Food & Nutrition                -Health & Wellness
