This is a survey of Australian language policy for Refugees and Immigrants (Nicholas, 2015). The evolution of language learning policy has occurred in part, with a shift to a pluralistic or multicultural philosophy. One of the results of this shift is a division of economic or workforce preparation from engagement or settlement facilitation. There are many principles from this study to consider, when continuing to develop language learning policies for Refugees & Immigrants in Canada.
